History
ASM Beauty World Academy opened it doors
on May 9, 1987 and started with 1 student in the morning
class and 1 student in the night class, which rapidly grew
to 107 students in the first two months.
The original location had 3,000 square feet in Hollywood,
Florida they started with only 2 instructors namely, Miss
Geraldine Tortora, know as Miss Jerry, and Sal V. Milazzo, who also performed
additional duties of receptionist and admissions.
Licensed by the State Board of Independent

Vocational, Technical, Trade and Business Schools.

MILAZZO HAVE MORE THAN 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
IN THE COSMETOLOGY FIELD.
Over the years the company ran very smoothly. They were
on a Manual System and has since converted over to a computer
system, meeting the challenges and demand of the future.
The school received the N.A.C.C.A.S National Association
Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Science Accreditation
in January 1990 and also received the approval for Financial
Aid from the U.S. Department of Education in 1991 which
approved A.S.M. Beauty World Academy to receive PELL GRANTS
and STUDENT LOANS.
Also in 1990 ASM Beauty
World Academy was approved to provide International
Student Visa from INS now US Home Land Security.
In December 1992 the company relocated to 2510 N. 60th
Avenue, Sheridan Oaks Plaza, Hollywood, FL 33021, (Sheridan
Street and NW corner of US 441), In January 1993 ASM BEAUTY
WORLD ACADEMY opened their doors in the new larger location.
